Recycling & Data
Learn what happens to electronics after we receive them, how data-bearing devices are handled, and our approach to reuse and recycling.
-
We inspect and sort the equipment based on its condition, type, reuse potential, and resale value. Items may be directed toward reuse or resale, while equipment that has reached the end of its useful life is handled for recycling or proper disposal.
-
We evaluate factors such as the equipment’s age, model, condition, functionality, quantity, and current market demand. Equipment that remains useful may be reused or resold, while non-reusable items are directed toward recycling or appropriate disposal.
-
Data-bearing devices will be professionally wiped and deleted of all customer data. If data is not able to be deleted or wiped, the storage devices will be destroyed.
-
We recommend backing up anything you need and removing sensitive information whenever possible before turning over your equipment. If devices still contain data, let us know when contacting us so they can be handled appropriately.
