Liquitronics: eBay Data Use and Privacy Notice

Last updated: November 2, 2026

Liquitronics (57556 29 Palms Hwy. #45, Yucca Valley, CA 92284) runs an internal sourcing tool that uses the eBay Browse API to find listings of products we buy for resale. This notice explains what eBay data the tool receives, how we use it, how long we keep it, and how we handle eBay account deletion requests.

Who uses the tool

Only Liquitronics staff (three people) use the tool. It has no public users, no checkout, and no public display of eBay content. We buy the items we find through eBay's own website, under eBay's User Agreement.

What eBay data we receive

From the eBay Browse API we receive details of active listings that match our saved searches: item ID, title, price, shipping cost, condition, item location, a link to the listing and its photo, and the seller's eBay username and feedback score. We do not receive or store any buyer's personal information, and we never ask anyone for eBay usernames or passwords.

How we use it

  • To find listings of the specific models we want to buy, filtered by price, condition and location.

  • To confirm a listing is the right item before alerting our staff, including re-checking the live price and availability just before an alert is sent.

  • To email our own staff about matching listings.

We do not use eBay data to set, suggest or model prices; to compile statistics about eBay, its users or its categories; to train any machine-learning model; or to sell, share or publish eBay content.

Automated item identification

To confirm that a listing is the item we are looking for, the listing's text and photos are sent, one listing at a time, to Anthropic's Claude API. Claude returns a match or no-match decision. The data is used only for that request and is not used to train any model.

How long we keep it

  • Listing data is never shown to our staff as current once it is more than 6 hours old; older prices are labelled with their date and time.

  • For listings we did not buy, seller usernames, feedback scores and prices are cleared after 30 days. The item ID, title and our own decision are kept for our alert history.

  • The list of listing IDs we have already seen is deleted after 90 days.

  • Listing titles used to improve our search keywords are deleted after 14 days; only anonymous counts are kept.

  • An automated job applies these rules every night.

eBay account deletion requests

We are subscribed to eBay's Marketplace Account Deletion notifications. When eBay tells us an account has been closed, we verify eBay's signature, then erase that username from every table that holds it, usually within seconds, and the erasure cannot be undone. We log each notification with an anonymous fingerprint of the username, never the name itself. Records of our own completed purchases are kept, as required for business and tax records.

Security

eBay API keys and tokens are stored only on our servers and are never shared with staff or third parties. Our database is not publicly accessible; only authorized staff can reach it, through signed-in accounts.

Service providers

We use Supabase (database and server hosting), Anthropic (item identification) and Resend (alert email delivery) to run the tool. They process data only to provide those services to us.
